Nose: dry wood like a cedar closet. Faint rye and dill. Lotta wood, lotta rye and a little cherry. After the first sip i got more cinnamon on the nose. After the second sip theres more wood and rye back on the nose Body: medium to full Palate: rye, barrel spice, cinnamon, faint caramel and dark chocolate sweetness Finish: long and enveloping, with caramel, barrel spice and rye. Really nice finish. Note: the last ounce from don for 2022 releases. This is a really well put together dram. Extremely tasty.

Happy to be the first to review. Barrel N 22F1957. Tried neat. Beautiful auburn color. On the nares it smells sweet and delicious with notes of vanilla, oak, maraschino cherries, sea salt, candied pecans, figs, brown sugar, caramel. On the palate it is very smooth for a rye and nutty with notes of pecan/almond, vanilla, wood, cinnamon, pepper. This is complex and overall delicious! I have to say.. this must be my favorite Rye I have had.
Iโve given very few 5 star reviews. This deserves it. Itโs balanced - drinks above its proof in flavor whilst drinking below its proof in ethanol - a somewhat rare trick.
Nose: cinnamon, baking spice, corn Taste: echoes the nose I only had a 1 oz pour but it tastes like a $40-50 rye
nothing disappointing here. a little oak gives the rye character & maturity. great as always๐
