Came across this at a hotel bar in DC offered as a combo deal with a Pale Ale for $100 less than it went for on its own. Not many chances in ones life to have a Michters 20, so I sprang for it. On the nose, a brown sugar bomb accompanied by oak, vanilla, cinnamon, and baking spices. On the palate, an insanely rich and punchy classic bourbon. A bit drying, considerably oaky, but altogether still magnificent. Wish it had a bit more sweetness and vanilla on the palate, to be expected from the nose, but nitpicking here. Finish is probably still going as you read this by the way, this thing lingers like few others. Was it worth $200? Considering it was 2oz, and a bi-annual release that Ive never seen in the wild before? Absolutely. Ultimately, an incredible end to a memorable day in DC. And to celebrate getting laid just a few hours earlier. Fuck yeah

Absolutely hangs on the glass. Nose is ripe fruit: Prunes, raisins, and then cacao, leather and tobacco and vanilla frosting. A bit hot up front, but when it passes it unfolds and rolls out with everything on the nose, plus caramel and burnt sugar. It takes 3-5 minutes to roll out. It's incredible. I can't say exactly why I'm so impressed, but this really changed my perception and resets my expectation for an incredible bourbon. The balance and nuance is only matched by a small handful of others I've been lucky enough to taste.

Impossible to describe, but the richest, fullest flavor bourbon I’ve had. Excellent notes of brown sugar, caramel, hint of oak and creamy vanilla. Coats palate and glass.

Nose of sweet pecans and caramel. Tastes of more sweet notes with a smooth finish. Excellent pour
