Nose: The nose is not very strong, subtle hints of corn and oak char. No alcohol on the nose so feel free to really dig deep. Its soft and tame with a subtle sweetness. Palate: slightly sweet with a peppery spice. Like the nose its soft on the palate. A cinnamon note appears on the second sip with some fruitiness. Mouth feel: thin/ watery Finish: the finish is medium-long and drying with lingering fruit and oak notes Over all a decent beginner bourbon not complex at all and for the mid range price. To me the 45$ I payed was a bit much.

Nose: Honey, vanilla, caramel, black pepper, and a small amount of cherry, green apple, and citrus. Taste: The spiciness is not apparent on the sip but the sugars sure are. Burnt caramel, honey, vanilla, and brown sugar are all apparent with green apple. Overall Impression: Nothing complicated about this and very fleeting finish. Nose: 3.5/5 Taste: 3.5/5 Overall: 3.5/5 Repurchase: at $65 yes, but not at $100 Type: Friday Night Sipper (due to cost, otherwise could be a daily sipper)
Nose: deep caramel / coffee / toffee sweetness. Dark cigar box- like wood sweetness. Definitely a vanilla cinnamon spice as well. Flavor: Big toffee-caramel on the front, pretty bold and rich. Moves more into a mild sweetness on the mid with wood notes coming through. Dry coffee notes on the back with some wood tannins. Caramel sweetness hangs out a bit - medium finish. Wood tannins seem a bit young and bitey. Otherwise, very good flavor - well worth the price tag. T8ke: 6.8
Very smooth, rounded, soft nose with an impression almost of baked sweetbread or vanilla pudding, practically no wood or char. A little oakiness in the neat flavor however, alongside a slight fruity tartness and almost powdery, moisture-wicking dryness with hints of chalk and coffee in the aftertaste. Nicely rounded, complex impression with coke however with a certain oakiness underlined by hints of fruit and vanilla.
A rich, Single Cask Bourbon Whiskey by Master Distiller Willie Pratt for Michter's Distillery in Kentucky aged for about 8 years. It has a rich birth with notes of barley, dried fruits & caramel, while a rich & spicy life adds notes of cinnamon & black pepper; that led to a long & peppery finish with hints of vanilla & clove. November 2018 / May 2019 / August 2022 / October 2023
Nose begins with a hint of tropical salt air and leather and then quickly transitions to tangy dried fruit (grapes, apricots) aromas. The palate gives way to a sweeter, fruit-filled front end and then envelopes into pepper and tobacco on the finish. With a medium finish, the burn of pepper will linger just long enough to recharge for the next sweet sip.
