Nose: Raisin, grassy, pear, musty, a bit of oak and vanilla, but pretty muted Taste: soft to start, and a myriad of interesting swelling flavors: hay, pear, bitter musty notes, a bit medicinal, oak Finish: finish of bitter pear, oak, and malt Unlike anything I've ever had. Interesting, complex, and a bit off-putting Edit: as I continued to drink, had to come back and bump from 3.75 to 4.0. The flavors grew on me and I appreciated the complexity more and more

There is definitely caramel on the nose. Almost hits a little like a aged rum with the vanilla. Brown sugar & vanilla is what I get on first taste, with more oak and dried fruits after the second sip. The finish lingers with the light taste of fruit and some brown sugar. Very nice whiskey. Highly recommend.
