Leapfrog 1987 12 Year (Murray McDavid)

My post-Covid nose is slowly coming back, but this was a gift, so I had to give it a try. I get a lot of vanilla and peat - maybe even vanilla ice cream - even while the glass is on the table. Smells delicious. Beautiful pale amber in color with some serious legs. First taste is very smooth, with more vanilla, then a rush of peat, salt, and green grass, plus a ton more vanilla. Smokey finish, with a hint of things I can’t quite detect yet that linger on the tongue for a nice long time - maybe dried fruit? I’ll come back when I can fully sensate again and compare. Get vaccinated, y’all - I did, and I am positive it saved me from a hospital visit. You can fuck off with that horse paste. And fuck Greg Abbott, while I’m at it. Cheers
