About this bottle

Equipo Navazos has joined forces with PM Spirits’ Nicolas Palazzi to produce this rare whisky from northern Spain. It is pot-distilled from 100% Spanish barley and aged entirely in a single freshly-dumped oloroso sherry cask. It's aged for 11 years and bottled at cask strength. It is bottled without chill-filtration and without added color. The "Bota Punta" is the cask at the beginning of the bottom row of barrels in sherry production. It tends to get more aeration and light and therefore ages differently than other sherry casks. Only 900 bottles produced.

AnttiRG 3.5

An intense, Single Malt Spanish Whisky created by a trio of flavor masters: Jesus Barquin co-wrote the Bible of Andalucía wines; Eduardo Ojeda is a Master Blender & a skillful hunter of barrels; Nicolas Palazzi, the founder of PM Spirits for the DYC Distillery in Jerez, Spain. It was distilled in copper pot still from Spanish Malt & spent a full decade in barrels that used to hold Oloroso Sherry, that was then bottled at 52.5% ABV with less than a thousand bottles released. It has an aromatic birth with notes of Sherry, dried fruits, pecan, malt, butter, herbs & spices; while a juicy life adds notes of butter, nuts, hints of cherry, dates, allspice, leather & clove; that lead to a long & rich death. Wow...butter butter butter. Nutty and bits of dried fruit. Very friendly, bit of spice on the back end but love it. It’s like you mixed a higher proof bourbon and a spry side. Color, spice and oakyness from the bourbon, fruity, and buttery from the sort side.

smell: fusels in the back, very slight heat, immense red fruit, sweet/sugary, slight sweet spice (maybe cinnamon?) taste: serious fusel alcohol, heavy red fruit, moderate heat, medium sweetness/saccharine

Nice brandy and nutty like stuff with notes of vanilla, chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, apricot, biscuits, and cherries.
