2nd time trying this: Definite apple on the nose and taste, medium smooth, lasting peaty flavor that does not appeal to me.
Nikka Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Barrel Finish (2020 Release)
About this bottle
Nikka has released two single malts to honor the 100th wedding anniversary of Nikka’s founder Masataka Taketsuru and his wife Rita who were married in Glasgow in 1920. The couple moved to Japan a few years later and Nikka was founded in 1934. When Nikka was first established, apple products helped to keep the distillery afloat while they waited for their whisky to mature. Distilled at the Miyagikyo distillery, this no-age statement single malt was finished in apple brandy casks for 6 months. It is bottled at 47% ABV.

Nicely fruity on palate, finish lacking depth, easy drinking, feels too light though.
