About this bottle
This is a sourced Kentucky wheated bourbon distilled from a mash bill of 51% corn, 45% wheat, and 4% malted barley. It's proofed in Austin, Texas to 90 proof (45% ABV) using limestone-filtered water from the Texas Hill Country. The brand's name derives from the nine-banded armadillo, Texas's official state small mammal, as well as a shout out to the Armadillo World Headquarters, a beloved, but defunct music venue in Austin.

Warm and very smooth throughout. Fresh wood and some grass. Much like a smooth Scotch. Some stone fruit. Good for sipping neat and for new bourbon drinkers. Probably not a good choice for mixing.
Sweet and light. Drinks more like a Scotch than a bourbon, but there are better Scotches and better bourbans in this price rang. Needs a few more years aging to make it onto my "buy again" list.
Wood and honey are the only 2 flavors I get here. Acetone on the finish. For the price range there are much better bourbons in my opinion.
Complex with a balanced finish. Stronger than it tastes. 58 proof but doesn’t taste like it. Very interesting.
Smooth oak and honey. Not overpowering, not underwhelming. Slight lingering dry finish. Great daily.
