So I've nipped this before from another friend, but someone else gave me a small vial of this so I'll give it a formal rating since its been a hot minute since I've put anything on distiller.... Nose is sweet and a honey bomb...like, to the point of thinking "is this whiskey or is is this some April fools thing in the middle of winter" Maybe some funky cheesy character too...its unique to say nothing else...and to be fair, it isn't offensive, but damn is it sweet. Flavor is also incredibly sweet and while it is honey forward, there is a bit more than 'just honey'. The sweetness hits up front but then mellows out into some brown sugar/mild spice combination...but *very* little oak character. It is interesting, and to be perfectly honest, quite enjoyable...but the honey barrel is still dominant...too much to be fair. Syrupy...short finish. I want to like this pour. I've found some Nulu pours to be very interesting and others to be very mundane...this is the latter, and unfortunately at a steep price point. The honey needs to be more of an accent and not the show...

Aroma - That raw honey is so strong up front it’s awesome. Complemented by tons of dark notes here (black cherries, licorice, blueberry jam).. honey wheat bread, some cinnamon and baking spices. Fantastic nose. Taste - Damn…Does NOT follow the nose… So much rye notes coming through here up front (toothpaste-like spearmint, earthy rye, black pepper, baking spices) The rye is overly aggressive to be honest. Mid palate is a nice honey and molasses note but it short-lived as rye quickly takes over again on a very long finish. But then there is a weird artificial drying note (for some reason my brain keeps coming back a similar note from Early Times which I haven’t tasted in over 10 years) Overall - Some might really enjoy this. But I’m not a huge fan of this dram to be honest. It tastes youthful to me and from time to time I’m getting a reminiscent note of Early Times on the finish. The nose is amazing just doesn’t translate to the palate.

Whiskey Consensus Single Barrel Select Nose- overwhelmingly honey, but slightly funky and off putting, like fresh honeycomb Taste- balanced but in a way that feels like everything washes itself out. Like the honey/syrup sweetness is there but cut by the brashness of the whiskey, and the whiskey doesn’t shine through either Finish - light and mostly honey with some floral and baking spice Not sure if it’s overly finished or if the whiskey used was mediocre (i.e., young or subpar), but this is very meh. The sweetness at times overwhelms and the whiskey doesn’t shine through. Pass for me

This is the best honey finish I’ve had! Definitely an interesting pour to share with friends. The whiskey shines through but there is definitely a honey bear finish. Delicious.

Sweet honey nose with a bit of molasses then pretty much the same on the palate with s short finish. Came back to this and after sitting a bit it really opened up.

Drinks way smoother than 119. May be my favorite bottle I’ve ever purchased. Will hold a funeral for this one when it’s killed.
