First time trying a freshly popped bottle. This is the California exclusive pick. Nose - tons of oak and ethanol. Once you get past the ethanol there is some sweet notes of honey. Taste - starts spicy. Lots of cinnamon, oak and apples. Dry mouthfeel throughout. There is a delicious and smooth vanilla flavoring in the middle. This one ends rather abruptly and more spice. Overall - to sum up the taste it’s apples vanilla oak and cinnamon. The spiciness is noticeable throughout which is probably partially attributed to the 114 proof. Overall good bottle but nothing spectacular.
About this bottle
NULU Reserve Straight Bourbon is a very small batch release from PCS Distilling. They sourced the 4-6 year-old bourbon barrels (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley) from Indiana's MGP, then blend and batch them for consistent flavor. Each bottle is topped with silver wax and features the batch number and proof on the front label.

Nose: alcohol, light brown sugar barrel spice Palate: I get slightly toasted brown sugar, Carmel on the front. Not a lot just thin. The finish is barrel spice with burn. I like a burn on my finish. Overall I like this bottle. Not my fav but not a slouch either. It’s a fairly decent pour that satisfies.
Missouri Exclusive Batch 100 Proof. Slight oak, honey, boozy fruit cocktail on the nose. Some baking spice. Sweet berries (raspberry / strawberry) up front with some honey. Baking spices mid-palate with a lasting finish of berry and almost a melon (honeydew) lingering. This is a delicious pour.
Nose: slight for the proof, thin brown sugar, vanilla bean, ethanol astringency P: dry wood dominates, a little sweetness is quickly dissipated into overwhelmingly dry wood spice as the bottle opened Tx1 edition- liked it less as the bottle went down
Very solid overall pour. Charred oak and caramel along with a hint of cherry on the nose. The palate is a bit more fruit-forward along with a slight heat and burnt sugar. Finish is medium-long and warm.
Nose : little sticky, like a luscious bouquet of Kroger flowers. Floral with some fruit. Palate: vanilla Kraft pudding on a plastic spoon, a hint just a hint of caramel syrup drizzle mixed in.
