G whiskey was spot on with his review. I wish i had listened and passed on this one. I love a Sherry bomb, but i would take dewars 15 over this. This is tight and no age really presents itself. A little water improves things, but neat it is sulfurous and not in a good way. I was hoping for a aberlour abundah experience with some age presenting, this is not that. Ill drink it, but would definitely not buy another or recommend it. Edit: this whiskey is actually terrible. I keep working with it, trying to find a bright spot. Adding water, blending it with other sherried scotch. It ends with a note of cat piss and is really objectively a bad scotch. I would be mad at this at half its price. It really makes me wonder why some YouTube people are recommending this (jason c really man?).

Light malt and sherry on the nose. Complex. Malt and touch of smoke on the palate. Possibly a slight vegetal note. Some pepperiness and burn on the finish. Got a maple syrup note after adding a few drops of water.
Works really well for me. For being cask strength it is not too hot. Very sweet on the nose and palate. I get a lot of caramel and brown sugar. Despite that a well balanced dram
nice salty savory and sweet flavor profile with notes of raisins, raspberries, salted toffee, apple pie, bergamot oranges, and ginger
The sherry was a little less rich and creamy, it accentuaded the dryer, herbal character of a sherry. Nice and full. Unique.
Just doesnt excite me. The sort of wininess i dont find pleasant.
