Old Carter 13 Year American Whiskey Batch 5 (2021 Release)

Outstanding. Has bourbon, rye, and rum like qualities with notes of bread pudding drenched in whiskey caramel sauce, cherry cola, maple syrup, Hazlenuts, nutmeg, root beer, cinnamon, molasses, chocolate chip banana bread, cloves, Black Forest cake, licorice, pecan pie, and candied orange peels coupled with a buttery mouthfeel and long finish.

Very let down by how blah this pour was. All ethanol and oil—not much else going on here. After reading/hearing all the hype, wondering if it was just the particular bottle…
