About this bottle
The Buffalo Trace Old Charter Oak series was first launched in 2018 to distinguish the diverse taste profiles of barrels made from trees grown in different countries, climates, and soil types. This is the third release exploring French oak. For this release, new French oak barrels that were acquired in 2013 were filled with the distillery's Mash #1 (same as Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare). It is bottled at 92 proof and available in limited quantities as of November, 2021.

Well made with a strong nose of cinnamon and sugar. It tasted sweet like candied toffee but a big oak profile came in at the finish with some hints of vanilla. You can clearly identify the stong oak taste on your palate which makes this a fun and enjoyable tasting.
Not as good as spanish but real solid
