Old Elk Wheated Bourbon Single Barrel (Rock Elite Elk Wheated)

The nose starts with charred oak and vanilla, fresh fruit, caramel and a touch of spice. It's a very soft nose but very appetizing. It has the notes you would expect from a wheated bourbon, offering you creamy and sweet notes. The palate starts with a slight kick of spice before giving away to charred oak, vanilla, caramel and fresh fruit. It is very dessert like, almost like ice cream topped with sauce and fruit. Very simple and to the point, an extremely enjoyable to sip on. The finish is medium long with a slight chew in lingering spice, as charred oak and all the creamy notes fade together.
