Nose- Ripe dark berries, caramel, and creme brulee. It starts a bit muted and then blooms in your glass. It is a traditional wheated bourbon nose, but superbly done Palate- Wonderful dark berries like ripe blueberries, and raapberries. Vanilla creme slathered over the top, and then drizzled in gooey caramel like a chewy, gooey bullseye candy. This is dangerously good, and might be a new favorite under $100 sipper if it starts bevoming more readily available. Finish- finish is long and even. Goes out on that vanilla cream, bullseye candy finish. Overall- This is a great addition to the Heaven Hill lineup. It really knocks it out of the park. The presentation is superb too. This is an offering that could give fans of things like Weller 12 (for a delicious wheater), and Blanton's (for its presentation) a run for their money and may exceed your expectations! So glad they brought this back at what hopes to be an everyday offering and at a reasonable price too. If you think they knocked it out of the park with the value to goodness ratio in Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond, this tops it.
