About this bottle

This limited edition release is from The 117 Series which focuses on innovation and experimentation. Here, only bourbon aged in the heat-cycled Warehouse I was selected and only from the hottest floors. Aged for 11 years, this is bottled at 95 proof and sold in 375ml bottles. Availability begins on December 5, 2024 at Old Forester Distillery as well as online sales to states where its legal and at select Kentucky retailers. (SRP $64.99)

Nose was all alcohol and ethanol. Really hard to get a distinct smell. Sure with this being in the hottest rickhouse and the highest floor for I it holds that heat. Guves a really quick jab of the heat then fades away to usual Old Forester. Very unique of the the “hug” is in the beginning like mouthwadh then smooths over immediately. Typical iak, vanilla, and caramel for Old Forester. With a cube the “hug” is gone completely. Great for even new drinkers and almost underwhelming but with a 11 year old you want it to be yhat way. Especially only a 95 proof
