For an 80 proof, 99% corn mashbill, I’m surprised at how much of a lingering spice there is. Flavor is straight forward with smooth sweet notes, but is just a very basic corn whiskey that will work as a decent mixer or easy sipper if you don’t want to be thinking too much about what you’re drinking. Granted, I came in with low expectations and have come away pleasantly surprised. If I had come with high hopes, I would be disappointed. For a spontaneous clearance shelf item purchase, I’m happy.

Tasting SB store pick from Meijer. 118 Proof Aroma - baked cornbread and cherries Taste - high corn mash, fruity and sweet Texture - oily and thick Finish - high spice, medium length and subtle cherry
Very young, a lot of corn in the front end. Not bad for a young MGP sourced bourbon. I had the cask strength and it’s worth the $30, but nit much more.
Nice for price and age statement (at least 2 years). I had a store pick, cask Strength on the right.
Terrific caramel flavor with a pleasing finish. This is recommended. Now, how do I say the name?
High corn bourbon..it's ok for a mixer. The cask strength is much better.
