The nose is full of charred oak, banana and peanuts. Is quite clear where this comes from, but it is quite developed and quite full-bodied. The nose comes across as being somewhat simplistic, but the balance that it presents you offers an amount of anticipation as to how good the taste is going to be. The palate does have some dryness and a kick of black pepper, the longer you hold it in your mouth. It can really ignite your senses or be over rather quickly. The notes of charred oak, banana and peanuts definitely carry over. But there is a distinct smoothness to this which makes it delicious, easy to drink and at the perfect point where you'd want a bourbon to be. The finish is medium long with lingering charred oak and banana, with a peanut flavors falling away to a certain degree. There isn't anything overwhelming about the finish, but at the same time, it's exactly what you would want for something that sips as good as this.
