A smooth sip for 50%. The nose has hints of caramel, cherry, and the namesake ‘double’ oak. The palate starts with more oak, with a touch of cinnamon spice. The finish leaves a delightful lasting vanilla

That titular ‘malt’ comes thru on the nose, along with spice and floral notes. First sip brings a sweet but almost musty flavor, that settles into cinnamon, grass, and the sherry cask seasoning.
Pleasant vanilla nose. Fair amount of burn that lingers on back of tongue. A drop or two of water doesn't do much to mellow, though it's a bit smoother when left to breathe for a bit
June 2022, 5yr. Potent plum, raisin nose. Good heat. Sherry funk. Tannic dark fruit reduction. Definitely a sherry bomb. Could use some balance as the barley does not come through.
Nose similar to Maker's Mark. Mouthfeel is thin, lacking in oily quality of other bourbons. Not much lingering flavor.
Lots of wood, hint of vanilla, longer finish than expected
