NEAT NOSE - Caramel, Vanilla, and Oranges. There is also the faintest hint of spice. PALATE - This is not overly complex on the palate but it is extremely well balanced. This drinks like a sweet, well rounded bourbon on the palate with rich caramel and vanilla and a buttery mouthfeel. FINISH - The finish is what tells you that this is a rye. The finish is quite long with some oak and rye spice. BUY? Yes. Not as good at last years, but still worth it. BUY AGAIN? - I think I’d back up the 10 year before I back up the 11. Nonetheless, I do still look forward to the 12 year this year.

Nose: Heavy vanilla, bright orange, good oak Taste: Very light on the palate, almost thin in texture. A beautiful soft oak builds with orange, smooth caramel, and the rye spice starts trickling in with a bit of minty black pepper Finish: Long, soft rye finish. For as thin as it is on the palate, the finish sure keeps going. Cinnamon, fennel, and black pepper leave you wanting another soft, sweet sip

This has been a go-to bottle lately. Wonderful balance and so smooth. What proof? This is how a $100 bottle should drink. Subtle dry, toasty oak runs through the aroma and taste. On top there’s caramel apple, candied orange peel, and herbal rye bread and crust. Everything is copacetic.

Nose: peach ring, allspice, apple, nutmeg Palate: drinks like a bourbon, could fool me that this is a rye. Finish: jim beam nutty finish with some oak and a hint kg rye spice. Chocolate. Subdued, wish it was a little stronger 6 on the t8ke scale. Need to revisit in a week

Medium dark honey amber color. Aromas are malt, caramel, nougat, bread dough and spice. Flavors are similar to nose, medium sweet with rye bread dough coming out more. A little bit of heat in the finish. Very nice. Wish I could get more.

Drammaster 4.0

Very good medium body with the right amount of spice. Think baking spices and caramel balanced with notes of oak.
