Old State Bourbon Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

Initial Nose shows hints of pie crust and then slowly brings in a sweetness reminiscent of berries. This is an odd bottle indeed, where the funky aromas and taste bring intrigue but could very well not be for everybody. Following the Nose, the front Palate swirls with a breaded sweetness reminiscent of blueberry cobbler. The back Palate and Finish remove this sweetness and replace the glass with a medium length minty Finish that sits on your mouth for a couple of seconds and then fades away back into the breaded sweetness from the front Palate. Overall an interesting bottle that I don’t mind bringing out when I want something different with a little bit of funk.
