đź Penelope Architect Series CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e @ 110 Proof Well, well, well⊠what do we have here tonight?? đź Cue the dramatic lighting. Cue the soft jazz. Cue the Glencairn doing a slow, sultry swirl⊠because weâre diving headfirst into a dessert-themed dream: Penelope Architect Series CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e â and yes, I even whipped up a real crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e to keep it company. We donât half-step at Belmont Björnâs Bourbon Banter. We go full flavor. I snagged this lovely limited-edition bottle just last week from a local shop that knows how to tempt a bourbon nerd. The base distillate? None other than our tried-and-true friend from Indiana â MGP. But the real twist happens in St. Louis, where Penelope teamed up with the French oak maestros at Tonnellerie Radoux (fancy, no?) to finish this spirit with precision using their high-tech OakScanÂź process. Yes, this is basically NASA for barrels, folks. The question is⊠did they engineer flavor perfection? Letâs find out. From the first nose, this beauty is like walking into a French patisserie at golden hour. Delicate vanilla cream, hints of toasted sugar, a breath of floral breeze, and a soft whisper of herb garden. The French oak adds elegance without overpowering, and at 110 proof, it brings enough heat to let you know it means business⊠but without torching the brĂ»lĂ©e. The mash billâcorn, soft wheat, and malted barleyâreads like a dessert recipe itself. And honestly, it drinks like one too. If you were with me during our exploration of the Penelope Rio, youâll remember we dubbed it âdessert in a glass.â Well, friends, this is the sequel, and itâs almost as sweet â but with a silkier, toastier twist. So, what are you waiting for? Swirl that glass, take a sip, and let yourself be whisked away to bourbonâs version of a Parisian bakery. If you enjoyed this tasting flight of flavor and fun, please be so kind as to LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE to keep the good times pouring. More bottles. More banter. More bourbon bliss. Cheers, yâall â and donât forget to save room for dessert. đ„đ„đź YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@belmontbjornsbourbonbanter?si=5vVa5FEwYuNRxYur Full Video Bottle Review: đź Penelope Architect Series CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e @ 110 Proof https://youtu.be/85xnaqLT7HQ Until next time⊠Belmont Björn - BBBB -

Nose 3.5 / Palate 4 / Finish 4 Sweet but muted nose despite 30 minutes rest in glencairn. Strong palate with more sweetness. Finish carries the sweetness into a building heat for a medium-long finish. In head-to-head unblinded tasting vs Architect Build 8, much weaker nose, similar palate, but slightly stronger finish. Architect Build 8 won the tasting , but overall they offer very similar flavor profile and experience.
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Caramel, vanilla, fruit. Palate: Cinnamon, baking spice, oak. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 8/10 - Penelope usually impreases me more, but this could open up in time. Itâs a good whiskey, but in the crowded $60-70 price range, there are better bottles out there.
Itâs not as sweet or viscous as creme brulee suggests. There is a hit of proof on the front but some buttery finish on the finish. Happy i got to try it! Though ive never seen it on the shelf im guessing I wonât pick up a bottle for the price if I do.
For 110 proof its crazy smooth. The creme brulee lable is a little confusing, the wife bought the bottle for herself thinking it would be really sweet. But there is no added flavor whatsoever, its straight bourbon. Pricey at $70 but would recommend!
