Very light sipper - Candied caramel and toast come to mind with a hint of almond and butter. Beautiful flavor at this proof point (115.6). Enjoyed this a lot, but not as good as Elijiah Craig BP or Larceny BP
About this bottle
Like the flagship Penelope Bourbon, this is made from a blend of three mash bill recipes which uses four different grains: corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. It's aged from 3.5 to 5 years in new American oak barrels with a char #2 heads and char #4 staves. It's bottled without chill filtration at barrel strength. Each batch has a slightly different proof and flavor profile, which is to be expected of such bottlings.

Nose is sweet with chocolate and tobacco. Palate brings heat and pepper on top of chocolate syrup. Finish is fairly hot. Good chest heat. Good, kinda one note.
A lot of heat but good flavor. A little fruit and cherry in the back. #adventcalendar
Cherry and sweet with barrel spice and a long finish. Really good bottle. Batch #9
Different for sure, spicy like a rye. Not too sweet. Some floral notes.
Graham crackers, cinnamon and chocolate. Awesome.
