Neat: I get a heavy dose of cotton candy on the initial nose, vanilla and pancakes follow. Very sweet on the palate, with some dusty oak notes. The sweetness is honey, pancakes, maybe a little burnt carmel notes, all hitting around the same time. Enjoyable, drinks well below 117 proof., pretty happy with it.
Named for a racehorse and certainly kicks like one. Toffee is the biggest flavor im getting from this, heavy on the nose and the tongue. A lot of maple as well. Its really a punch in the face in a good way. Not an easy sipper but not ashamed of it. Hints of brine, sawdust and popcorn on the tail. A great dram!
