2nd try after tasting several other rich flavorful rums. this is a good and straightforward and balanced rum. nothing extraordinary stands out to the palate, and in this case that's a good thing. light bodied but a great representation of what the plantation lineup
About this bottle
This rum was distilled in Barbados in 2000 and is a blend of pot and column-still rums. Ex-American whiskey and ex-sherry casks were used for the initial aging before being transported to France. The Plantation rums are then re-casked and aged in Cognac in former cognac casks in their cellars in Cognac.

this is a great plantation rum, that easily finds it's own place in the excellent lineup. it's got some sweetness but not as much as the pineapple one. great sipping rum and also seems to work well with cocktails that do not need a white rum
Very nice rum, not very sweet but with nice aromas
