An intense, Old Tom gin from the Poetic Licence distillery in Sunderland! tasting inspiration from the sweet style of gin popular in the 1800s, features hibiscus & rose petals as part of its botanical selection, leading to its sweet flavor profile. It has an aromatic birth with notes of juniper & a hint of rose petals; while a rich life adds notes of cracked black pepper & sugared rose petals; that leads to a long peppery finish. January 2018

Interesting flavours, an unusual Old Tom, tried the serving suggestion and it worked well. Will try other Old Tom gins to compare. A bit like Marmite this one

Not very sweet, a touch bitter. Oak cask gives it an amber colour, spicy notes. A bit hit and miss
