I have been wanting to try this one but I have been burned by too many young craft whiskeys. Tonight, it was a reasonable price for a pour at a restaurant so I got one. Light honey in color with a sweet powerful nose albeit simple. I notice cotton candy or bubble gum, not much else. For a young bourbon the alcohol is faint. Palate again is sweet but more like apples and honey. There is no finish. Glad I didn't buy a bottle but I will certainly drink it when offered.
About this bottle

Note: This product has been rebranded as of September 2019 as Rabbit Hole "Cavehill" Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The juice remains the same, only the packaging and name differ.

Finally opened this one as I left it at my Dad's. We enjoyed a few pours together! This is very simple but not many flaws. The honeyed malt comes through on the taste and the finish is quick but has a bit of cinnamon. An easy drinker that you can enjoy while doing something else like visiting with family or mowing the lawn. Mouthfeel is thicker than expected for a younger whiskey.
Nose - light oak, slight cinnamon, honey and faint raisins. Taste - a little spice with a sweet finish. Finish - most flavors fade quick but spice lasts a little longer. Overall an ok mild sipper, that I would likely score a little higher if price was slightly less.
Tasted this against David Nicholson Reserve and New Riff, bottle and bonded. This was number one very close to the Nicholson. This was a little sweeter and had a more complex flavor profile.
Rich nose of sweet bananas and spices with hints of mint and tobacco. More spicy oak on the palate with a longer finish. Shows it’s young age right at the end but an enjoyably sweet pour.
First sip awakens the taste buds with the spice. Second sip and beyond are rich, full bodied and sweet. Finish is short and not very spicy. Best with a cube.
