BARREL No. // K45-061 PROOF // 121.50 AGE // 7yr 1mo DISTILLED // 2-21-2018 BOTTLED // 3-2025 MASH BILL // 51/45/4 NEAT followed by💧💧 NOSE - Wonderful aroma of Cherries, Red Apples, Caramel, and Sweet Oak. PALATE - Immediately, the mouthfeel is distinct. It’s thick and has a certain ‘weight’ to it. I get notes of cinnamon dusted caramel. NEAT, I wasn’t getting any of the fruit on the palate and it felt a bit tight. I added a couple of drops of water and the cherry and red apple skin came out. FINISH - Medium in length. Without the water, there was alot of oak and cinnamon. With water, the cherries and red apples followed through onto the finish. The finish was also sweeter and brighter than without it. BUY? - Absolutely. BUY AGAIN? - This is my first bottle of Rare Character and it was absolutely worth it. I may back this one up before it sells out. Regardless, I do look forward to more of their stuff.
