On the nose the rye spice hits first, followed by black pepper and maple syrup. A light dill, sweet vanilla, caramel and white grapefruit are also apparent. The palate starts off spicey but soon diminishes with notes of caramel, maple syrup and honey. Quite complex for the proof. All in all a pleasant pour. I like to drink my whiskeys neat but this one may also make a great Old Fashioned. Overall: Nose 4/5; Taste 3.5/5 For a Score of 3.75/5 Repurchase: Yes Type: Daily Drinker/Mixer

Aromas of vanilla, caramel, cherry, cedar, hay, and crême brûlée. Silky and very lightly tannic on the palate – showing more vanilla, hay, and cherry, plus additional notes of pine, toffee, and raisin. Long, smooth finish. 3.75/5.00 – Very Good (neat)
Fruit and spice on the nose. Subtle banana and leather - glad bottle and labels are getting a bit more classy looking. Lovely nod to George Reifel and a fantastic price point making it great neat or in a manhattan.
nose is feint a bit like melon, not much else going on there. Initial peppery upfront, nice and sweet as well. Carmel and vanilla. Lingering pepper like a good rye. Smooth dram would dram again.
A pleasant surprise. This is a very drinkable neat. Great balance of sugars, vanilla, a hint of banana. There is a faint Dill too. Nice spicy Rye finish.
Green apple and sour melon on the nose with a hint of spice and cinnamon, palate is spices and vanilla and a hint of banana.
