113.2 Proof 56.6%ABV Barrell #934 John’s Beverage Edition #1 2023 Aroma - corn and berries mixed with red hots. Lots of bready notes here with hint of black licorice. Nothing to get excited about. Taste - Nice balance of heat and spice (cinnamon, rye spice) with sweet notes (caramel corn, hint of vanilla) Overall - Wish I could provide a better a more in-depth review but this one lacks complexity. The balance is nice, but the mouthfeel is thin and finish is medium at best with presence of alcohol. Price of $60 is overpriced for the experience. There are so many huge heavy-hitting whiskeys in this price range that this is hard to compete. Drinks closer a $40-$45 bottle.
