This expression is a straight bourbon made from a mash bill of 51% corn, 35% rye, and 14% malted barley. It is matured according to straight bourbon standards in new, white American oak barrels sourced from Kentucky. It is bottled at 100 proof.

Spicy and grainy up front. Another slightly young, spicy but tasty juice. Green apples, rye spices, fruity bread. Short finishes, almost disappeared at first. I like it, and was nice in an old fashion, but not something I would use often. Good upgraded version from the normal product in its line.

A darker gold color raised expectations of stronger flavors. Very pleasant. Some vanilla notes and hint of maple with a smooth but shorter finish. Will drink this neat or with a single ice cube.
This is batch no: 223 Nose of maple with sweet spices & oak. Palate drinks the same but with the addition of rich dark fruit, think blackberry syrup, lovely stuff!
