Full flavors on the nose. Chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts and grains. Full bodied and full mouth experience on first sip. Slow burn builds as it goes down with notes of char, vanilla, and continued caramel. This is great neat and if you add a cube of ice it softens the burn and pulls out more of the vanilla and toasted nuts. Highly recommended.
Really nice pour. Hints of citrus with berries on the nose, no hint of alcohol. A wonderful creamy mouthfeel with caramel and oak on the palate. Finishes with some mild oak that fades fast but not unpleasantly so. Really quality juice from a small producer, if you see it, grab it!
Much better than their entry level bourbon. As I stated in that review, the only thing preventing rock town from making great bourbon is age. This bottle helps a bit with that.
