"Smooth" feels cliché, but this IS smooth. The flavors are still complex and satisfying. I can drink a lot of this and not get bored. If I had a friend who said they had never had small-brand bourbon before and wanted something "different", I might introduce them with this. There might be better examples of bourbon out there, but this is so approachable.

Sour-ish nose that doesn’t accurately foreshadow the sweetness on the palate that hits from the get-go. Maraschino cherry, pinch of cinnamon, drop of vanilla, and a couple cranks of the pepper mill. Finish leaves you with shadows of what came before and a surprising final kick of heat which comes off like someone crashing the party in my mouth.
On the nose : tangerine, slight banana, and sweet cherries On the palate: A more floral noted bourbon with hints of cinnamon and toasted brown sugar blended together The finish: An oaky, spicy finish! Overall: Give this one a try if you can! Its a uniquely light-hearted bourbon that is refreshing after a round or two of cocktails
On the nose I get a sweetness of chocolate and citrus/orange. First sip is not as strong as anticipated. Hints of chocolate and char. Ice adds some fruity notes and pulls out some more of the citrus and chocolate with char and oak finish. Good bourbon and I would recommend.
Think Noahs Mill but lighter, smoother, and with less punch, but also less complexity. Now one of my top bourbans but Noahs Mill is still a touch higher on my list. This will be a go to when i want something a little lighter and smoother, though. Well done.
I just picked this up a week ago it is smooth but I'm getting a wierd mildew smell/taste. I picked up a Noah's mill same time it was very slight. Perhaps it's the brand of rye they use I'm not liking. Pretty good other than that
