🄃 Savage & Cooke American Whiskey Cask Strength Finished in Zinfandel Barrels at 113 Proof šŸ· šŸŽ„šŸ„ƒ WELCOME to Belmont Bjorn’s Bourbon Banter! šŸ„ƒšŸŽ„ Hey y’all! I’m Belmont Bjorn, and I could not be more excited to welcome you to the very first episode of my brand-new bourbon adventure right here on the Belmont Bjorn’s Bourbon Banter channel—where the pours are bold, the takes are honest, and the banter is always neat. Or on the rocks. Or however you like it. No judgment here. šŸ˜„ āø» 🄃 Today’s Whiskey in the Spotlight: Savage & Cooke American Whiskey šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø California born and raised, this rebel spirit is distilled, aged, and bottled all under one roof at Dave Phinney’s Savage & Cooke distillery. Known for winemaking magic, Phinney brought his flavor wizardry over to whiskey—and let’s just say, things got Zinfandelicious. šŸ‡šŸ”„ This particular bottle from my personal stash was snagged back in September 2024 for just under $60, and I’ve been enjoying it tremendously and tonight is the night to say good eye and finish her up! āø» šŸ“‹ Here’s the lowdown:    •   Cask Strength: A whopping 56.5% ABV (or 113 Proof for my fellow proof nerds out there).    •   Mash Bill:       •   66% Corn 🌽       •   30% Rye 🌾       •   4% Malted Barley šŸŗ    •   Master Distiller: The one and only Jordan Via    •   Finish: Yep, you read that right—this American whiskey is finished in Zinfandel barrels, bringing some fruit-forward flair to the party. Think red berries crashing a smoky, spicy bourbon BBQ. šŸ«šŸ”„šŸ’ āø» This is my first-ever review, so be gentle—but also be honest! I’m here to learn, sip, share, and grow this community with folks who love whiskey as much as I do. If you enjoyed the vibes, the pour, or even just my attempt at pronouncing ā€œZinfandelā€ correctly, do me a huge favor: šŸ‘‰ Leave a comment šŸ‘‰ Smash that SUBSCRIBE button like a cork pop on Friday night šŸ‘‰ Share the channel with your fellow whiskey-loving friends (or your bourbon-curious aunt—you know the one) Your support means everything to me, and I’m genuinely honored to have you on this journey. I’ll keep pouring if you keep watching. 🄃 Until next time—stay bold, sip slow, and may your whiskey glass always be half full. God bless, and cheers from Belmont! https://youtu.be/n05DG0OUwBM?si=Ugorus5n5pD4alqg Belmont Bjƶrn - BBBB -

Bobby Leroy 3.0

There is a minerality to this that I am used to with my local Columbus, Ohio distilled whiskey. On the nose there is a musty funk i like, i assume this is from the used Zin barrel. Up front i get the minerality i mention above and there is a smooth mouthfeel leading into a little apple and grape must on the finish
