Nose is mild with a hint of chocolate. Palette is super oily, dark chocolate, some rich brown sugar (though not as rich as willett rye, for comparison) Finish is chocolate and a bit of oaky tannins.
Smells great, but tastes only fine. Probably aged too long for a rye; this is my second Sazerac and I haven’t loved either.
Very mild heat. Very nice warmth. Smells like grandpa’s living room, in the best way. Incredible.
