2019 Release (Barrel #6) A rich American Whiskey by Dave Phinney for The Savage & Cooke distillery in Mare Island, California made from a Mash Bill of 95% Corn, 4% Rye, 1% Malted Barley aged for a minimum of 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels then finished in his Napa Cabernet barrels before being bottles at 44% ABV. It has a spicy birth with notes of maple wood, cardamon, buttered toast & black cherry; while a bold life adds notes of baked dark fruits, butterscotch, caramel. honey & hazelnut; that led to a long & woody finish.
