Batch #2 An intense, Armenian Brandy by Grisa & Jugo, Flaviar founders created with local ingredients. It is made with a blend of Kangun, Kakhet, Garan Dmak & Rkatsiteli grapes before being aged for 23 years in Caucasian Oak, with only 3500 bottles released. It has an aromatic birth with notes of dried fruits, nuts & spices; a rich life adds notes of plum, raisin dark cherry, almond & walnut; that leads to a spicy death of medium length with notes of clove, tobacco, molasses, vanilla, oak & a hint of black pepper. Shakmat Armenian Brandy 23 Year
About this bottle
This Armenian brandy was made in collaboration between Flaviar and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The name means "chess" in Armenian, which, second to enjoying "Konyak", is one of Armenia's most beloved traditions. This blended XO is made from indigenous grapes and made using a continuous column still and a double distillation process in French alembic stills.

No idea what other tasters are thinking. very smooth... strong raisin wit hints of vanilla... one of the best Brandeis I have ever tried.
Very smooth... hints of raisins and old sherry with a touch of vanilla... soft slow burn... old and mellow. Finish lingers pleasantly.
Raisin, molasses, and oak.
