Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof Blended Rye Whiskey

NEAT NOSE - Apricots, Dark Brown Sugar, Honey, and Caramel PALATE - The mouthfeel is buttery, but lacks the viscosity the barrel proof bourbon has. Otherewise, it’s rich and bold in flavor. Loads of brown sugar, vanilla, and caramel with some subtle mint throughout. FINISH - Short finish unfortunately. Thankfully, the off-putting note on the finish from the bourbon is not present here. BUY? - Yes. BUY AGAIN? - Absolutely. I actually like this more than the barrel proof bourbon.
