This barrel is roughly 7.5 years old and is a goldish amber and offers plenty of legs with each movement. The nose is easy going with oak, vanilla, rye spice and a bit of butterscotch. The palate is equally as gentle and starts off grain forward before moving onto oak, rye spice, cooked brown sugar and hints of vanilla and butterscotch. It just about reaches the corners of the mouth and none the less is somewhat chewy and rich. The finish is medium long with lingering grain notes and spice while the rest of the palate fades.
