Tasted neat in glencairn - Sweet with nice long finish. Not much heat with this easy drinker. Leather and oak. Real good for local craft. At least 4 years age stated. Iād like to try it at barrel proof to get a better sense of the source flavor. Batch 5 / Bottle 1074 / Dated 2014

Vanilla scents on nose; wood oak and tannins on palate after an initial sweetness with corn grain; finishes with spices resembling a young bourbon; generally smooth and straight forward and missing complexity and void of hidden flavor profiles to explore; light, not creamy smooth.
Wheaty and floral on the nose. Smells stronger than 90 proof. Wonderful caramel flavor hits the tongue first, followed by more mellow floral flavor. Very warm and smooth. Only a slight fire down the throat and in the belly.
Nose - sweet corn, vanilla, oak, nuts, rye spices Palate - vanilla and caramel with high levels of nuttiness and rye notes Finish - medium length and warm Good 90 proof whiskey with classic bourbon flavor
Maple syrup and bourbon don't typically go together... But the smuggler's Notch is different. My smoke test doesn't produce false positives - this bourbon is delectable to the very last drop. šš
