The nose is delicate with notes of vanilla, bartlett pear, white pepper, and a small amount of citrus. The flavors transfer to the palate with the vanilla coating the roof of the mouth and teeth creating a salivating sensation and want for the next sip. The spice from the pepper hits the throat gently causing a bit of a burn for only fleeting. The sugars from the vanilla linger for quite a while and bring forth the citrus. There is also perhaps a bit of oak and leather. This is my first whisky from Sons of Vancouver and I am glad I purchased this bottle as it is worth the money. Looking forward to other offerings. 105 dollars may be a bit over priced but it's pretty delish.
