To be fair, I just finished two ounces of top quality bourbon before tasting Southwell 12.... trying to find something positive to say. In fine print on the label it reads “Limited Production”. Now that was a good idea! It tastes somewhat watered down at 86 proof. I’m just done. Maybe a mixer. 12 years wasted.

Gotta say.....I wasn’t expecting this to be so good. Smells of caramel and vanilla. Very smooth especially at the finish. There is just a bit of oak flavor but mostly sweet. The finish is easy, sweet and very little burn. Gotta give this one a try....if you can find it.
Flavorful, a little burn at room temp, good with one regular ice cube
Corn forward on the nose and palate. Not complex. Ok
Bold flavor for a low proof bourbon!
Very cherry nose, smooth swallow
