It’s okay. It’s pretty unremarkable aside from the rum cask finish. start with caramel and oak, slight spice and cherry hit with a molasses and brown sugar finish. It’s a bit sharp and spicy. Would be a good scotch to get into but there’s a lot better bottles you can grab.
Spells of cherry and wood spice. Tastes is rich and sweet of more cherries, spiced oak, and a very light leather smoke. Finish is quick and smooth. Neat.
Not a bad scotch. But as with every cask finish scotch I've tried i just don't get the flavor of the cask.
If not for the rum, this would be virtually tasteless. Very little happening here.
