Distilled from a mash of three different types of barley malt: pale ale, chocolate, and heavily-peated malt. It had a long fermentation (96 hours) using three types of yeast strains. It was double-distilled in copper pot-stills. The whisky was aged in three types of barrels: heavily-charred Quercus Muehlenbergii from Missouri, heavily-toasted Quercus Petraea from Allier, and medium-toasted Quercus Robur from Bourgogne (Burgundy). Bottled at 41.8% ABV with no chill filtration. The whisky is named for the island's most famous sons, an astronomer named Tycho Brahe (1546-1601).

I was excited to try the Swedish whisky. The nose and palate was very bright with lemon and butterscotch. Kind of close to an young Irish. Wood and peat is very mild. Finish was metallic and I wasn’t too impressed with the full flavor profile.
Pleasant dram but nothing more. Dried fruits on the nose with sweet honey, some hints of peat. On the taste some light smoke again, fruits and kind of oily body - going towards honey and sweet on the end.
Initially peaty on the nose, then muscovado sugar and cloves. Mouthfeel is thick and oily with slight burn - rich, sweet and leathery that fades into cardamom and licorice. I approve.
Mellow,sweet and maybe a tiny bit spicy (or maybe I'm not used to strong spirits). An aroma of oranges clings afterwards.
The odour was alcoholic. The taste was soft and spiceless. The bottle and wooden box are really good-looking.
This was the worst whiskey ive ever had. Drain pour. To get notes would be a waste of my taste buds.
