My first reaction was this is a bit spicy/hot for a 90 proof bourbon. Flavor was good though and a nice fruity profile but a little grainy… i think grainy is the correct adjective. I added a couple of drops of water. It did knock down the heat some but also flattened out the flavor a bit… i think i like it best straight neat.
Spicy oak and toasted corn on the nose. A rich, smooth palate that brings burnt, mildly spicy, caramel, and vanilla. It is a soft dram all the way through, even with a persistent spice. A nice sweet caramel corn finish to round out the sip.
First sniff has notes of sweet toasted vanilla. First sip starts smooth with carmel and vanilla notes that slowly warms up with a lite grain spice and mellows to a toasted corn notes with a spice finish.
Day No. 6 Decent vanilla and oak on the nose. The taste had a nice mix of caramel and corn/grain enveloped in an earthy background. Great to have on any day neat or cocktail style.
Advent #6. Clear copper body medium legging. Spicy woody oak char vanilla aroma. Spicy vanilla wood caramel flavor. Medium full body moderate warming. 8/4/8/4/16 4.0
