About this bottle
This pear liqueur from the famed Alameda, California producer uses its own Pear Brandy as the base. For that, they start with whole organic Bartlett pears, picked at the height of ripeness and distill in copper pot-stills. Then for the liqueur they add fruit juice and the proof gets brought down to 20% ABV.

Like someone baked pears with brown sugar and cinnamon and put it in a bottle. Has a great mouthfeel (not too syrupy or cloying). I’ve just had it neat and with vanilla ice cream so far, but I am excited to experiment with it in cocktails this fall.
An elegant, fruit liqueur that has an aromatic birth with notes of Bartlett pears & baking spices, while rich & spicy life adds notes of cinnamon & clove that led to a long & bold death. November / December 2016 / / January / September 2017
It smells and tastes like a nicely spiced pear. Reasonable cinnamon and allspice without going overboard, with a thick and nectary mouthfeel. Mix it with an Irish whiskey to drink a scone with nice fall flavors.
This liqueur is Thanksgiving and Christmas in a glass. There are lovely cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and ginger. This is great over vanilla ice cream,in a cup of tea or as an after dinner drink.
Sweet spicy and ripe. Cinnamon, star anise, caramel and burnt orange rind come together with bruised cooked pears that a sweet but with some tartness still to find. Nice!
