About this bottle
St. Nicholas Abbey is the one of the most charming stories in rum. The Barbados estate where it resides dates back to at least 1658. In 2006, a noted local historical preservation architect purchased the estate to restore it to its former grandeur, including reestablishing a distillery to make cane-to-glass rum. Early on, the distillery purchased stocks of aged rum from Richard Seale’s well-regarded Foursquare distillery on the other side of Barbados. They continued to age the rum for several more years on site, while simultaneously making and barreling their own distillate. Since St. Nicholas Abbey bottles one cask at a time, there will be flavor variances from batch to batch. Note: This is not currently available in the U.S.
