Aroma - honey, alcohol soaked dark fruits, caramel dominate the nose. I keep picking up a big rye note as well that elevate the complexity. Vanilla, aak. burnt marshmallow and hint of black licorice really help develop complexity. This is candle-worthy IMO Taste - Blast of vanilla, caramel and citrus.. (some vibes of orange creamsicle mixed with a shit ton of caramel). Some oak notes For the proof it is quite decadent and is well hidden. Overall - Wow. This batch is incredible. I’m not a huge BT fan as all of them are overpriced at most stores but this one is really damn good. The finish is long and full of heat, caramel, and burnt marshmallow .... every few sips I get a wave of orange creamsicle that ebbs and flows on the finish as well which is awesomel

Nose - Fruit cake, light oak and toasted leather, cinnamon. Almost has this caramel, tobacco quality to it that makes it addicting to smell. where are you from? Palate - First sip has lots of cinnamon and barrel char. Second sip has some cherry notes followed by heavy amounts of bitter oak. Third sip brings some notes of caramel with a more subtle approach to the first sip, definitely one that is complex and needs to breathe. Finish - Finish is a lot of the nose weirdly, in a good way weird. Has that cinnamon, barrel char, caramel and tobacco thing going on. Very nice finish thats different than a typical stagg jr. Overall not my favorite stagg jr because it is quite harsh on the palate even after opening, but a very solid option.

Nose: Cinnamon, leather, light toasted caramel. Rich, complex, and sweet. Also fantastic baking spice / graham crackers. 2nd time around I pick up a sweet tobacco on the nose and finish. Palate: BRIGHT fruits. Cherry followed by citrus or apple and charred oak in the mid palate. Mouthful: Very oily and drying. The only tell of the barrel proof is this viscous, dry, and hot mouthfeel. Finish: long, complex. Dark chocolate , dry and almost herbal? Citrus sneaks in at the end of the palate and dances with the classic vanilla, oak, and caramel that made us fall in love with Kentucky Bourbon. Really really excellent. $18 for a 2oz pour is 100% worth it.

**DONT KNOW EXACT BATCH BUT IT IS MIAMI BOURBON SOCIETY’S FAFO PICK** Nose - Lots of cherry and barrel char off the bat. Touches of vanilla, mint, leather, caramel, and burnt sugar. Action packed on the nose. Some heavy deep notes come in with cocoa and burnt caramel. Palate - Super nice, hot initially from the barrel char along with some cinnamon. Toasted leather. Vanilla, light cherry and some berry, bright and sweet like a strawberry. Very chewy, medium thickness in the mouthfeel, makes you want to chew it. Finish - Lots of leather, barrel, cinnamon and vanilla. Its long and comfortable not too harsh at all. Super nice on the way down.

Velvety smooth caramel taste with a burn that starts just after it coats your tongue and lasts until you’ve woken up the next morning. You’ll feel like you’re drinking it directly from the barrel. The fruit note is dark and ominous. It’s telling me not to have anymore because I’ll wake up regretting my decisions, but I’m not listening. Best drank next to a fireplace that was started with a remote control because you like a nice fire but you have a bottle of Stagg, so your house is too nice to be dragging wood in and out. I wish i could provide more tasting notes, but all I really know is that it tastes like good Bourbon, and i want more.

Absolute brusier of a whiskey. This tasting it done neat without addition of water. the proof isnt very hidden on this one but at that proof its a bit tough. immediate warmth, dry oak and barrel char. The finish has a long spicy finish with some sweeter notes residing after the ethanol fades. slight pings of granny smith apple and burnt cinnamon throughout the body as well. Ive always said bourbon isnt my strong suit, but this one really pushed me. its a bit too hot for my taste but i havent tried it with any addition of water. nice to finally try a stagg bottle tho!
