Review #289 Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Dark amber. Nose: Cinnamon, cocoa powder, raisins. Palate: More cinnamon, clove, baking spice. Finish: Long and very warm with cinnamon and raisin notes. Splash: A few drops of water bring out a dry oaky note. Overall: 9.5/10 - After seeing that this won best bourbon at San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2025, I was eager to try it. Some Starlight bottles I’ve had had been average at best, but I was willing to pay MSRP for this bottle and then had to wqit to open it. I was not disappointed. This has some amazing and unusual notes and will probably open up over time. I’d put this up against an allocated bottle any day of the week.
