Nose: heavy molases, brown sugar, sweet tabacco. Palate: very rich mouth feel. Very sweet with notes of tabacco, oak, caramel, and brown sugar. Finish has a nice black pepper note. Long finish. GREAT Update: the flavor profile has changed since the last time i tasted this bottle and im not really a fan. I still love the sweetness of it, but theres a new and overpowering cheap tasting alcohol burn on the back end. Also a STRONG black pepper note now, over powering. Not really a fan anymore. Reminds me of when you drink something like a Four Loko, its very sweet and tasty on the intro….but then what follows is bitter and cheap alcohol flavor. No bueno. Though, it was a 4.75 for me last time…this time i would say it’s a 3 maybe. I’ll average those scores for around a 3.75.

Heady char and cask on the nose, creating a woody, dark, expression of barrelhouse. Upon the first taste we find burnt sugar, molasses and toasted nuts along with spicy elements of mexican chocolate. Very dry and woody on the back of the palate. This is the flagship Stellum ramped up to 11. Oak, tannin and wood are the key indicators here. Things become more balanced and amenable when brought down to a comfortable proof with some water or ice.

Nose: Vanilla and orange with a little bit of caramel. Flower petals in the background. Taste: sweet oak morphing into a vanilla caramel with a bit of leathery tobacco on the end . Up front I get a jolt of lemonade which is pretty nice Finish: caramel and leather Definitely an upgrade from the baseline stellum bourbon Watch video review here! https://youtu.be/5r0V1WvfF4k

Very strong fruit profile on the taste which is a bit of a surprise as I didn’t get that on the nose….as nose was pretty light so need to revisit that. Finish is medium and a nice warming feel with a bit of spice on the end. Best part of the profile is finish … higher proof, but don’t get any real ethanol. Pretty enjoyable.

Super strong brown sugar and molasses and cinnamon on the nose, very fragrant. Super dark and smooth, gives a sweet earthiness / tobaccco. Nice creamy texture, dark brown sugar and molasses carries to the palate. Cinnamon and black pepper on the nose. Really good and a great proof as well

Flaviar bottle 01/2023. Actually quite nice and not as ethanolic as the proof would suggest. Straightforward vanillas and caramels with nutty leather notes, with none of the fruity, herbal, or flowery riff-raf. Solid choice that is an easy sipper. Smooth, but nothing too special.
